Skydive Palawan operates from San Vicente Airport on Palawan's west coast — the island Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure readers have repeatedly voted the world's best. Tandems exit at 10,000 ft after a 25-minute scenic climb, with 30–45 seconds of freefall over the longest beach in the Philippines: 14 kilometres of white sand at Long Beach, turquoise shallows grading into the open sea on one side and unbroken jungle canopy on the other. The operation is run by the same USPA-certified team behind Skydive Cebu and Skydive Siquijor, flying FAA-approved tandem rigs with handcam video included in every package — from the entry tandem through the Paparazzi tier, which adds an outside camera flyer, to the Island Paparazzi, which finishes with a beach landing on Long Beach itself. Capacity is deliberately small: the dropzone takes a maximum of 16 guests per day, so jumps run unhurried and slots in peak months go early — booking ahead matters more here than at most Asian dropzones. The operation now runs year-round, with morning jumps the standard slot. Practicalities: San Vicente has its own airport with direct connections from Manila and Clark (a small terminal fee applies, cash only at the airport), and the dropzone publishes transport options for guests coming up from Puerto Princesa, about three hours south. The weight ceiling is 115 kg, with a surcharge from 91 kg, subject to instructor approval on the day. The operator caps the day at 16 jumpers, so slots go early in the season. The right jump for travellers who pick their skydive by the view — nothing else in the Philippines drops you over scenery like this.
Check in, weigh in, sign the waiver. Twenty minutes of harness fitting and emergency-procedure briefing with your tandem master.
Bench-seated, headphones on, door closed. The aircraft climbs to 10,000 ft — the landscape shrinks under you.
Door open. Roll out. Terminal velocity. Your tandem master triggers the canopy around 5,000 ft.
Calm five-minute ride down. You take the toggles for a minute before your instructor sets up the final approach.
Make the day longer than the jump.

Eight real anxieties, addressed.
Tandem operators set their own weight limit (commonly around 90–115 kg) and confirm borderline cases on the day — check the exact limit with this dropzone when you enquire. AFF students have no upper limit but must fit the rig comfortably.

Block 3–4 hours on site for tandem (briefing + climb + jump + canopy). AFF students should plan a full day.
