About skydiving in Thailand

The state of the sky in Thailand.

Thailand is one of Southeast Asia's most exciting destinations for tandem skydiving tourism. With its year-round warm climate, breathtaking coastal scenery, and lush tropical landscapes, jumping here is an experience unlike any other. Whether you are a first-time tandem skydiver or a seasoned jumper, Thailand offers world-class dropzones staffed by licensed, internationally certified instructors. Freefall from up to 13,500 feet and take in panoramic views of turquoise waters, rice paddies, and iconic limestone karsts. The peak skydiving season runs from November through April when skies are clearest and conditions are ideal. There is no dropzone in Bangkok or Phuket itself: the four active operations are at Chiang Mai (two, sharing Phusanfah Airfield), Pattaya and Rayong, all within easy reach of a broader Thai itinerary. Booking a tandem jump in Thailand is straightforward, affordable, and unforgettable — making it the top choice for skydiving tourists across Asia.

Good to know

Skydiving in Thailand: your questions.

How much does skydiving in Thailand cost?

At the two dropzones currently open, tandem jumps start at THB 8,000 at Dropzone Thailand (Rayong) and THB 9,450 at Thai Sky Adventures near Pattaya, both from around 13,000 ft. Licensed fun-jump tickets start under THB 1,500. The Chiang Mai operators quoted from THB 8,850, but they are closed, so treat that figure as historic.

Where can I skydive in Thailand?

Two dropzones are open: Thai Sky Adventures near Pattaya and Dropzone Thailand in Rayong, both on the Eastern Seaboard within about two hours of Bangkok. Two more are listed but closed — Skydive Thailand and Skydive Chiang Mai, which share Phusanfah Airfield near Chiang Mai. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand halted operations there from 1 June 2026 and no reopening date has been announced.

When is the best time to skydive in Thailand?

November to March — the dry season brings calm winds, low humidity and the clearest skies. Operators run year-round, but the monsoon months can mean more weather holds and rescheduled slots.

Can I learn to skydive (AFF) in Thailand?

Yes. Full AFF courses run around THB 88,950 at Thai Sky Adventures, with A-licence packages available. Chiang Mai also offered AFF from around THB 88,000, but that airfield is closed. Thailand remains the most popular place in Southeast Asia to get licensed.
