Eagles' Skydive Sri Lanka is one of two skydive operations on the island and is unique in being run by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF). The dropzone operates from SLAF Station Koggala in the Southern Province, about an hour by road from Galle, with views over Koggala Lake and the surrounding coastline. Every instructor is a SLAF officer who's also USPA-certified, each carrying 1,500+ jumps. The military airfield setting means full air-traffic control and a long, hard runway — uncommon for tandem operations elsewhere in the region. Two package tiers structure the offering. Silver is a 10,000 ft tandem with a one-minute edited video, stills, and a certificate. Gold lifts the exit altitude to 13,500 ft and extends the video to two minutes. Aircraft rotate between a Y-12, Cessna, and helicopters depending on availability and group size. The operation is two years into commercial running but built on decades of SLAF skydiving experience — sport tandem is an extension of an established military programme. The right jump for travellers staying on the south coast (Mirissa, Unawatuna, Galle) and for anyone who prefers a working military airfield over a private commercial DZ. Skydive Sri Lanka in Bentota covers the west coast for Colombo-anchored visitors — together they cover both circuits of the island. Pricing runs LKR 90,000 for Silver and LKR 105,000 for Gold, payable in rupees — which matters for travellers carrying local currency on the southern circuit. Jump mornings pair naturally with Galle Fort or a whale-watching run out of Mirissa.
