What to expect

Three hours on site. Ninety seconds in the air.

Skydive EFES is operated by Türk Hava Kurumu — the Turkish Aeronautical Association, Turkey's national aerosport federation — from Selçuk on the Aegean coast in İzmir Province, near the ancient city of Ephesus. Tandems jump from approximately 4,000 m (~13,000 ft) over the rolling Aegean coastline with views of the Ephesus archaeological zone, Mount Pion, and the Aegean Sea horizon. Professional camera footage is included in every package — both hand-cam and outside-camera coverage where available. The federation framing matters: as a national aerosport authority operation rather than a private commercial DZ, Skydive EFES applies federal regulatory standards to instructor certification, equipment maintenance, and operational windows. The operator is a USPA member club. Beyond tandem first-timers, the dropzone runs a full Accelerated Freefall (AFF/HSD) programme, advanced coaching, and wingsuit flying for licensed jumpers — pricing on inquiry for the training tracks. Group bookings of four or more attract a per-person discount. The right jump for travellers on a Turkey itinerary including Ephesus, Pamukkale, or Şirince, for couples adding an unusual tandem to a Mediterranean trip, and for licensed jumpers visiting Turkey wanting to add a national-federation DZ to their logbook. Turkey's geographic position straddles Europe and Asia — Skydive EFES sits firmly on the Aegean side, making it accessible from European departure points as well as the broader Middle Eastern travel circuit. Tandem pricing starts around TRY 22,000 with media included rather than tiered — unusual and welcome at this end of the market. İzmir's Adnan Menderes Airport sits about 45 minutes north, and Selçuk itself is minutes from the Ephesus gate, so the jump and the ruins fit the same day.

Operator-managed cancellations & date changesSkydive EFES · cancellation summary
Cancellation

Cancellations and date changes are arranged directly with the dropzone — message them anytime, and SiA steps in if needed.

Weather holds

Skydiving is weather-dependent. If the dropzone can't fly safely they'll reschedule you at no charge — or arrange a full refund if a new date doesn't suit.

Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. The dropzone confirms the timing.

After booking you’ll be in direct contact with the dropzone — any change or refund is arranged with them. SiA’s team is here if you need us.

Common questions

Eight real anxieties, addressed.

Tandem operators set their own weight limit (commonly around 90–115 kg) and confirm borderline cases on the day — check the exact limit with this dropzone when you enquire. AFF students have no upper limit but must fit the rig comfortably.

Would love to come back here to do more jumps, people were kind, high safety measures; I was always gear checked by more than one person before boarding the airplane! And most importantly special thanks to Haroun who kindly gave me a lot of his time and expertise to make sure I have safe and enjoyable jumps and landings!
