Tandem Skydive (All-Inclusive)
11,500 FT · 60 SECThe Kansai region's outdoor dropzone.
Skydiving Kansai operates from Toyooka in Hyogo Prefecture, the primary outdoor commercial dropzone serving the Kansai region — Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe — about three hours from central Osaka by road or rail. Tandems jump from approximately 3,500 m (~11,500 ft) with Sea of Japan coastal views during freefall and canopy ride; the descent passes over the Hyogo coastline and the inland mountains of northern Kansai. The offering is a single all-inclusive tandem at ¥58,000, covering the experience fee, video, club membership, insurance, equipment and facility use. Operations follow typical Japanese commercial skydiving conventions: weather-dependent scheduling with advance notice for cancellations, and a ground briefing delivered in Japanese. The operator confirms there is no English-language briefing, but provides a translated printout to follow during the session and welcomes guests who bring their own interpreter. The operator has been running for about fifteen years. The right jump for travellers anchored in Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, or Himeji who can manage a half-day to full-day round-trip north to Toyooka, for Japanese-speaking groups or English speakers with a fluent travel companion, and for skydivers building a multi-city Japan itinerary alongside the Tokyo-area dropzones. The choice is essentially a regional anchor: Tokyo → Nippon, Azul or Fujioka; Osaka → Kansai. The operation holds 4.5 on Google across its review base. Toyooka anchors the San'in coast — Kinosaki Onsen is twenty minutes away, and jump-plus-onsen is the natural overnight shape of the trip.
Check in, weigh in, sign the waiver. Twenty minutes of harness fitting and emergency-procedure briefing with your tandem master.

Door open. Roll out. Terminal velocity. Your tandem master triggers the canopy around 5,000 ft.
Calm five-minute ride down. You take the toggles for a minute before your instructor sets up the final approach.

Cancellation & policies.
Operator terms: free to cancel up to 6 days before your slot. From 5 to 2 days before, 50% of the fee applies (JPY 29,000 per person). From 1 day before through the day itself, 100% applies (JPY 58,000 per person). No-shows may be refused future bookings. Skydiving Kansai accepts changes and cancellations by email only.
Skydiving Kansai decides weather cancellations the evening before or on the morning of your slot, and notifies you by email, SMS or phone. Rescheduling is arranged directly with the dropzone. Because payment is taken in cash on the day, a weather cancellation means you simply do not pay.
Payment is made in cash at the dropzone on the day of your jump, so there is nothing to refund if the jump does not go ahead - you pay only when you fly. Cancellation fees inside the operator windows above are settled directly with Skydiving Kansai.
After booking you’ll be in direct contact with the dropzone — any change or refund is arranged with them. SiA’s team is here if you need us.
Eight real anxieties, addressed.
Tandem operators set their own weight limit (commonly around 90–115 kg) and confirm borderline cases on the day — check the exact limit with this dropzone when you enquire. AFF students have no upper limit but must fit the rig comfortably.
An absolutely amazing experience! The skydive was so much fun and something I’ll never forget. The weather was perfect, which made the views even more incredible. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and made me feel safe and comfortable from start to finish. Thank you for making this such a memorable adventure. I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended! 🪂

Block 3–4 hours on site for tandem (briefing + climb + jump + canopy). AFF students should plan a full day.
