Skydive Korea operates from Chungju-si in North Chungcheong Province — about two hours south-east of Seoul by road, and the country's primary commercial dropzone. Tandems jump from 13,000 ft over Chungju Lake with around 60 seconds of freefall at ~200 km/h, followed by a canopy ride with the lake and the surrounding mountains in view. The operator is a listed USPA Group Member (account 340494), placing the operation on the same accreditation standard as Skydive Dubai and Skydive Cebu. Operations run weekends and public holidays only — a practical constraint of Korean airspace allocation and instructor availability. Reservations close by Monday of the jump week, so spontaneous booking isn't realistic; plan three to seven days in advance. The dropzone also runs an Accelerated Free Fall licensing programme for residents and visitors pursuing a USPA A-licence. A typical tandem day runs about three hours including travel from the dropzone facility to the airfield. The right jump for Seoul-based travellers who can dedicate a weekend day to Chungju, for visitors building a Korea itinerary including Chungju (or pairing the jump with nearby attractions in the Chungbuk region), and for licensing-track students seeking the only Korean USPA-pathway AFF programme. Skydive Korea is the only credible commercial tandem operation on the Korean peninsula — travellers wanting urban indoor bodyflight should look outside Korea to AltitudeX Singapore, iFly Shenzhen, or the Dubai indoor cluster. Tandem pricing starts around ₩320,000, and the operation holds a 4.7 Google rating across its review base. Chungju Lake is at its most photogenic in October foliage season — the same weeks domestic demand peaks, so book the moment trip dates firm up.
Check in, weigh in, sign the USPA-standard waiver. Twenty minutes of harness fitting and emergency-procedure briefing with your tandem master.
Bench-seated, headphones on, door closed. The aircraft climbs to 13,000 ft — the coastline or landscape shrinks under you.
Door open. Roll out. Terminal velocity. Tandem master triggers the canopy at 5,000 ft.
Calm five-minute ride down. You take the toggles for a minute. Grass landing at the airfield.

Cancellation & policies.
Cancellations and date changes are arranged directly with the dropzone — message them anytime, and SiA steps in if needed.
Skydiving is weather-dependent. If the dropzone can't fly safely they'll reschedule you at no charge — or arrange a full refund if a new date doesn't suit.
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. The dropzone confirms the timing.
After booking you’ll be in direct contact with the dropzone — any change or refund is arranged with them. SiA’s team is here if you need us.
Eight real anxieties, addressed.
Tandem operators set their own weight limit (commonly around 90–115 kg) and confirm borderline cases on the day — check the exact limit with this dropzone when you enquire. AFF students have no upper limit but must fit the rig comfortably.
10/10 would recommend!! The entire staff was friendly and professional! The instructors are very knowledgeable. I had the best experience in my life! Cant wait to do it again... and again!
Wonderful place! First time that I've been skydiving, and I loved it. I felt safe the entire time. Many of the skydivers are former military, and very well trained! Aside from a few old timers that seemed to bark and scream , everyone else was extremely professional. I want to go back! They also have a 3day course for around 4.5 million won, where you can become certified and jump solo.
I hope to go skydiving with you guys in the future
Airfield gate — operator shares the exact pin and driving directions in the inquiry reply. Chungju is the customer-facing hub.
Most jumpers drive or use Grab/Bolt. Free on-site parking. Plan a 2-hour buffer before your manifest slot for traffic + check-in.
Block 3–4 hours on site for tandem (briefing + climb + jump + canopy). AFF students should plan a full day.
