A landing on Bentota Beach itself.
Skydive Sri Lanka operates tandems out of Bentota on the western coast, about 90 minutes south of Colombo by road or via the southern expressway. Jumps go to 13,000 ft after a 20-minute climb, and the canopy ride brings you down to land on Bentota Beach itself — between palm trees and the Indian Ocean, with the river-mouth lagoon framing the final approach. The beach landing is the operational signature; very few commercial dropzones in Asia deliver an actual sand-and-surf touchdown. The international instructor crew has 26,000+ jumps combined. Every booking includes a 360-degree video — no upsells, no à la carte camera tier, no surprise add-ons at check-in. Minimum age is 18; weight ceilings are 90 kg for women and 100 kg for men. Aircraft and pricing tiers are confirmed at booking due to schedule variation and weather windows, but the product itself is uniform: one jump altitude, one beach landing, one media package. The right jump for travellers staying on the west coast (Negombo → Mount Lavinia → Bentota → Galle), for first-timers who want a beach landing as the defining visual, and for couples or honeymooners who'd otherwise consider Maldives but want something more accessible from Colombo. Eagles' Skydive Sri Lanka in Koggala covers the south coast — the choice between the two operations is more geographic than technical; both deliver standard tandem product to international tourists. A 5.0 Google rating across 150 reviews backs the polish, and the single-package format — LKR 146,000 with the 360° video included — keeps the decision simple. Bentota sits on the Colombo–Galle coastal rail line, making this one of the few dropzones in Asia reachable by scenic train.
Check in, weigh in, sign the waiver. Twenty minutes of harness fitting and emergency-procedure briefing with your tandem master.
Bench-seated, headphones on, door closed. The aircraft climbs to 13,000 ft — the landscape shrinks under you.
Door open. Roll out. Terminal velocity. Your tandem master triggers the canopy around 5,000 ft.
Calm five-minute ride down. You take the toggles for a minute before your instructor sets up the final approach.
“If the dropzone can’t fly for safety or weather, you’re rebooked at no charge — or refunded in full to your original card. No customer-side surcharge.”

Eight real anxieties, addressed.
Tandem operators set their own weight limit (commonly around 90–115 kg) and confirm borderline cases on the day — check the exact limit with this dropzone when you enquire. AFF students have no upper limit but must fit the rig comfortably.
Absolutely thrilled by my skydiving experience with Skydive Sri Lanka! Freefalling from the sky was an incredible, life-changing rush. The team was professional, supportive, and ensured I felt safe every step of the way. Special thanks to Henry and Rus—truly trustworthy professionals. Highly recommend this adventure for anyone seeking excitement and unforgettable memories! 🪂✨
Russ, Henry, Sandu and the rest of the crew are a great team. Very professional! Skydive Sri Lanka is really well organized and most importantly safety-oriented organisation. I recommend to anyone who wants to experience the thrill of skydiving to do it with these guys. The beach landing is one to remember! You don't get this in many places so don't miss out! Go do it with Skydice Sri Lanka! Footnote: I run a skydiving business in Bulgaria, I have jumped many place around the world and I have good insight and I believe I judge this objectively.
I did my skydiving in Sri Lanka recently, and it was truly an amazing experience! The skydiving team was extremely organized and professional — huge credit to the entire team, especially Henry and Russ. From the very beginning, the team behind the operation was outstanding. They were very flexible with rescheduling when the weather conditions were bad. Their communication beforehand, along with the instructions and guidance, was superb. The skydive itself was incredibly smooth and handled by true first-class professionals. The natural beauty from up in the sky was absolutely breathtaking.
