About This Experience

Skydive Chiang Mai operates from Phusanfah Airfield in Mae Taeng, about 50 minutes by road from Chiang Mai city. The dropzone runs a PAC 750XL aircraft daily except Thursdays, with tandems jumping from 13,000 ft for up to 60 seconds of freefall over rice valleys, river bends, and the foothills of the Doi Suthep range. A 15–20 minute sightseeing climb precedes each jump — the slow ascent over Mae Taeng's agricultural terrain is part of the product, not an afterthought. Four package tiers structure the offering: Silver (entry, no media), Premium Silver (Silver + media), Gold (premium altitude pricing), and Premium Gold (Gold + media). All instructors are USPA-certified. The on-site facilities include a resort and café, so the dropzone is set up for a half-day rather than a turn-up-and-go visit. AFF candidates can begin USPA licensing here as well as the tandem product. The right jump for travellers anchored to Chiang Mai or the Mae Hong Son loop, for couples wanting mountain-and-valley scenery rather than ocean, and for first-timers happy to make a half-day of it. Phusanfah Airfield is shared with Skydive Thailand — the larger NZ Aero 750XL operator on the same field — so visitors with flexibility can compare package mixes between the two operations before committing.
