What to expect

Thailand's largest civilian jump aircraft.

Skydive Thailand relocated to Chiang Mai in May 2026, taking up operation at Phusanfah Airfield in Mae Taeng — about 50 minutes from Chiang Mai city. The move puts the dropzone roughly an hour from Chiang Mai International Airport and the Old City, and it brings Thailand's largest civilian skydiving aircraft — the NZ Aero 750XL — to Phusanfah's runway. Tandems jump from 13,000 ft for around sixty seconds of freefall over rice valleys, river bends, and the Mae Taeng foothills. Pricing runs three tiers: Tandem Only (THB 8,850, the entry product with no media), Silver Package (THB 12,750, adds video and photos), and Gold Package (THB 15,550, premium-altitude pricing with full media). Instructors are USPA-certified and the 750XL carries larger groups per load than smaller Caravan or Porter aircraft, which means lower per-jumper wait times during peak. The right jump for travellers on the northern Thailand loop, for groups or couples who want flexibility across multiple jumpers per aircraft load, and for visitors comfortable with the May 2026 relocation — older content elsewhere on the web still references the Khao Yai location, but Phusanfah is the current operation. Skydive Chiang Mai shares the same Mae Taeng airfield with a smaller PAC 750XL aircraft; both are credible, with Skydive Thailand favoured for group loads.

Common questions

This group of Peeps was awesome! Don’t hesitate to book! I came from Arizona woth my daughter, and everything went smoothly. I would recommend booking directly with Skydive Thailand, as opposed to a third- part app. They are very responsive and helpful. The Tandem jump guides are so fun and cool. Also, I recommend getting the photography package, so you have documentation of your jump, if this is your one and only time. My only heads up would be to wear pants. If you don’t have pants, They offer them at the jump. Take them up on their offer! It is a life-changing experience and you will not be able to get it out of your head. This is not a thrill ride. It’s absolutely awesome. I could not stop saying “oh my God” the whole time down. Once you’ve jumped, it’s not scary at all. It’s magnificent!

A truly unforgettable life experience. Flying high in the sky, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, breathing fresh air, and regaining inner strength was incredible. The instructors were highly experienced, and the entire team was very friendly and professional, making the experience safe and enjoyable. Skydiving at Chiang Mai Skydiving is something everyone should try at least once in a lifetime.
