Jumping in Jakarta, explained.
iFly Jakarta is one of two indoor skydiving tunnels in Indonesia, alongside iFly Bali in Denpasar — a 14-foot vertical wind tunnel inside Trans Studio Mall Cibubur, in the Jakarta metropolitan area's eastern suburbs. The tunnel runs year-round regardless of weather (Jakarta's wet season would otherwise ground every outdoor jump from October to April), with first-timer packages from IDR 850,000 for two minutes of flight time, IDR 1,600,000 for five minutes, and a two-minute plus High Fly bundle at IDR 1,000,000 (foreign-visitor rates; Indonesian residents pay less). The instructor team holds international IBA (International Bodyflight Association) certifications, and progressive coaching paths exist for jumpers who want to move from first-timer flights through to belly-flying, back-flying, and head-down disciplines. Easiest access is via Cibubur exit on the Jagorawi toll road from central Jakarta — about 45 minutes by car off-peak, longer in evening rush. Combine with a Trans Studio theme park visit for an all-day family plan. Age and weight limits are set by the operator and shown on the listing below.
Skydiving in Jakarta: your questions.
How much is iFly Jakarta?
iFly Jakarta is IDR 850,000 for two minutes of flight time, IDR 1,600,000 for five minutes, and IDR 1,000,000 for the two-minute plus High Fly bundle. Those are the foreign-visitor rates the operator confirmed to us; Indonesian residents pay a lower rate.
Can you do a real skydive in Indonesia?
Not yet. No outdoor dropzone is operating in Indonesia today — Skydive Bali is under construction at Tabanan and targeting 2027. The nearest active tandems are in Thailand, from THB 8,000, with direct Jakarta-Bangkok flights. For freefall without leaving Indonesia there are two indoor tunnels: iFly Bali in Denpasar and iFly Jakarta at Cibubur.
Is iFly Jakarta good for kids and families?
Yes — indoor flying is the most accessible version of the sport, typically open from early school age. See the listing for current age and health rules.
Why do skydivers train in wind tunnels?
The tunnel replicates freefall exactly, minus the plane — it's where licensed jumpers refine body position. A session before an outdoor tandem or AFF course pays off immediately.
