Ar Rass sits in Al Qassim province, about 320 km north-west of Riyadh — roughly a three-hour drive, not a Riyadh day trip. It is the base for Unique Clouds Skydiving, Saudi Arabia's first GACA-licensed commercial tandem dropzone and a USPA member club, flying from a private strip in the farmland south-east of town. Jumps are currently paused and we have not been able to reach the operator on any channel, so nothing here is bookable right now. When running, tandems started at SAR 1,800 and the season ran October to April — the summer months are too hot for safe outdoor jumping. Access is via Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International (ELQ) at Buraydah, about an hour away, or by road from Riyadh.
